New Wates Projects

COGNICA is pleased to be working with Wates on two new projects.
John Billam Resource Centre in Brent, North West London is being constructed by Wates, a new build school built over two storeys. Work started on site late summer 2011 and is due to complete by the summer of 2012. COGNICA are managing the delivery of the H&S File for the school and in addition a Building Log Book will also form part of the delivery.
In addition COGNICA has been awarded a contract with Wates to manage and deliver the H&S file and O&M Manuals for the fabric and services of a Research Building that they are constructing on behalf of Brookgate. The £26m project will start on site shortly and is expected to complete in November 2012.
Shepherd Construction

Building on our relationship with Shepherd Construction and two new projects this year, Loughborough University and Hope Academy, COGNICA is now engaged on the Holland Park School scheme collating and delivering the necessary information for the hand-over of the Health and Safety File and O&M Manuals.
The new school at Holland Park in London is a £60m project on behalf of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and will deliver some 1800 pupil spaces. The high specification finish will include pool and sports hall facilities. The project started on site in June 2010 and final completion is expected in July 2012. Following completion of the main build there will be a subsequent phase to demolish temporary classrooms and to complete sports areas. The demolition and sports phase is due to complete in May 2013.

Loughborough University with Shepherd Construction
Engaged in the £14m development of the East Park Design Centre at Loughborough University, delivering workshops, laboratories, teaching spaces and offices, Shepherd have enlisted COGNICA to manage the collation of the information for the hand-over of he H&S File and O&M Manuals, in addtition providing the technical authoring of a Building Log Book and Building User Guide.
The project started on site in March 2010 and final completion is expected on 1 August this year.
VolkerFitzpatrick - Integrated Waste Facility

VolkerFitzpatrick is engaged in the construction of an Integrated Waste Facility in East London on behalf of the London Borough of Southwark. The project started on site in 2009 and is due to complete in December this year.
COGNICA is pleased to have been awarded the management and delivery of the O&M Manuals and H&S File for the Building Fabric and associated M&E equipment.
Once complete the project will deliver a site that comprises:
- Household Waste Recycling Centre
- Waste Transfer Station
- Mechanical Bio Treatment Plant (MBT)
- Municipal depot
- A Resource Centre
- A Weighbridge Office and Gatehouse
- Material Recovery Facility (MRF)
