Built on reclaimed land in the City’s former Victorian docklands at Cardiff Bay the development provides the new home for the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, comprising a “state of the Art” 350 seat auditorium, recording studio, rehearsal space and adjacent office space. Named BBC Hoddinott Hall, after Welsh composer Alun Hoddinott, who died earlier this year, the purpose-built venue stands adjacent to the Wales Millennium Centre.

Kier was engaged to refurbish two wings of HMP Lewes, near Brighton. The refurbishment included development of a new 174 cell Houseblock including two cells for disabled occupants. Work was also completed on the laundry, server room, treatment and exercise areas.
